These steps explain the process of FFL transfers so that you may understand the process.

1. ORDER YOUR FIREARM
   Designate MOD.LTD as your local FFL Dealer.
   When purchasing a firearm on-line you will be asked to provide a designated FFL at check out.

   If asked to enter our information, please use the following:

   If searching by FFL number, you are typically asked to enter the first 3 digits and the last 5, like so:
   FFL#: 5-72-XXX-XX-XX-08385
   We do not supply non-FFL’s with license information.
   Please have your transferring FFL submit a request to [email protected]
2. YOUR SELLER SHIPS THE FIREARM TO US
   They should include in the box a copy of their FFL and the customer contact information.
3. WE RECEIVE THE FIREARM
   Business hours are M-F 09:30 to 4:30. We are closed on weekends.
4. WE PROCESS THE FIREARM
   Typically takes 2-4 hours, but can be up to 48 hours.
5. WE CALL YOU WHEN YOUR ORDER IS READY FOR PICKUP!
   Please use personal phone lines, not office or business numbers.
6. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME WHEN I PICK UP MY FIREARM
   -You must be of legal age.
   -LA resident with a valid (not expired) LA Driver’s License with your current address (No P.O. Boxes)
   -LA ID (not expired) with a photo and your current address (No P.O. Boxes)
   -Military ID with Current PERMANENT Orders are also acceptable.
   Utility Bills, Limited Driver’s Licenses, or Hunting Licenses are not valid/acceptable forms of ID.
7. YOU FILL OUT A 4473 FIREARMS TRANSACTION RECORD
   LA License to Carry holders do not require a NICS background check.
   If you do not have a LA License to Carry the NICS (National Instant Criminal Search) this process
   usually takes anywhere from 15-45 minutes to return either Proceed, Deny, or Delay. Individuals
   returning to complete a 4473 on a day other than the initial day must re-certify that the form is still true.
8. PAY THE TRANSFER FEE AND RECEIVE YOUR RECEIPT.
9. TAKE HOME YOUR FIREARM!
